Handspun Mittens

I'm curious to see how this post works. It's a cut and paste from Ravelry. I need to figure out how to link directly, but this will probably work for now. My pictures (see links below) sort of suck, but the mittens are much nicer in person.

I am delighted with these. They are warm and will keep me comfy all winter I think. I'm also really pleased with how little yarn they used. I have now have hope that even small fiber purchases can be made into something useful.

These are 100% wool.

They also only took 3 days to knit (a total of perhaps 4 hours and I'm a slow knitter)!

For a larger mitten (to fit a man's hand, for instance or to include thrumbs), it would probably take another half skein and a hour or so longer.
